Planning for a wedding February is not the best time of year. Springfield is not exactly known for its stellar achitechture and at that time of year the beautiful outdoors are pretty much unusable for wedding purposes. So finding a place to actually have the ceremony is challenging. In addition to that, we don’t want our friends and family to be driving all over the place every time we get together. So finding good lodging has been even more of a challenge.
Until we hear from everyone and find out their plans, we wanted to at least make sure we had some rooms reserved. So I reserved the Carriage House at Walnut Street Inn. We can easily cancel or rearrange rooms, but at least for now this is preliminarily taken care of.
I also reserved the upstairs at Ebbets Field for the reception. Luckily it is also on Walnut Street, just about five doors down from the Inn.

And you know what? The church is ALSO on Walnut Street! They couldn’t have made it any better.
