The queue we are referring to is on the Visa Journey web site. The US Embassy doesn’t offer any additional information.

Using the web site as a guide obviously isn’t 100% accurate, but it is a good guide as to what is going on. It depends on people keeping their entries up to date, so you have to use your own judgement.

The equipment seemed okay but I’m no judge – the film seemed to be the problem in my case.

Getting the visa and taking the medical is stressful enough without them messing it up. I hope they aren’t going to charge you for further tests.

They had to do my x-ray twice as well. Not because of spots but because of two lighter areas near the bottom. Something that ‘often happens with ladies of our build’ the radiologist told me

They told Rik that the x-ray equipment dates from about 1959. He mentioned it because it looked so ancient to him (he’s currently working on the techie side of medical radiology). He said one x-ray from it would probably give you half a life-time’s worth of x-ray. Hmm. Oh well.

They messed up my bloods too.

I’m impressed that you got to see where you were in the queue. All NZIS do is tell you that ‘as of x date we are processing applications submitted up to and including y date’.
